Behind the Music

One night I was giving away tickets to a future show during a concert, and offered them up to the first person who would show me a military tattoo.  Before I knew it, I hadn't seen tattoos, but I had a front row full of WOMEN flashing their breasts at me screaming, "how about nipple rings?". Not to be outdone by the girls, an ecclectic cowboy named Billy Bob flashed me his nipple rings as well.  I am well aware that I have turned him into an icon at The Saddle Rack by writing this song... and I'm okay with that.  He's a fellow whiskey drinker, a mighty nice guy, and a helluva guy to party with.  Viva la Billy Bob!

Lyrics

Once upon an evening at the local honky tonk
I met a jolly cowboy and they called him Billy Bob
That night he showed me something that I ain't never seen
When he lifted up his tee-shirt and I saw his nipple rings

Billy Bob the cowboy is such a crazy sight
If I didn't know better I might think that boy ain't right
He just might be the coolest cowboy I done ever saw
He ain't your average redneck he's my hero Billy Bob

With a belly full of bourbon and a whiskey in his hand
He jumped up on the stage to sing a diddy with the band
The singer held him up while he fumbled for the words
So he downed another shot and then he flipped them all the bird

Billy Bob the cowboy is such a crazy sight

If I didn't know better I might think that boy ain't right

He just might be the coolest cowboy I done ever saw

He ain't your average redneck he's my hero Billy Bob
